Francois Pienaar for SA?

I'd be hard pressed to put anywhere near a top 20 nevermind first and foremost. Maybe he'd be my 5th choice ever loosie for SA.

He's a captain that won a world cup but was a solid if somewhat limited player. Same with John Smit; a good captain with some 'aura' but not the best in the position, certainly not considering all time.


Of the options there, it's probably BOD for me (though I would have gone for McCaw if he was the NZ option).
