George Smith has just signed a 1 year deal with the Queensland Reds.

4 years after. Pienaar last played for SA in 96, Smith started playing for Australia in 2000.

He's still a menace at the rucks. Good to see him go back to a team that will need his expertise. Seems like the Reds are making some good signings for next year, with Moore and Smith now joining their ranks.

I watch the French matches every now and again but not so much the English/Pro 12 matches.

He'll be 38/39 by the time the contract ends, and he'll still probably be among the best 7s in the world then. The man just won't stop playing.

Now we're just waiting on Giteau's signature, my guess is Smith may be a defining factor if Giteau signing for the Reds or retiring.
