Investec Champions Cup 23/24 - Semi Finals

It's pointless the score said we lost. Never any point moaning about it. You can't change it. Saints didn't get embarrassed and it was closer than many predicted. I'll take that rather than wallow about it. Definitely not sore.

Missed the Saints game but congrats Leinster. Managed to catch this one and it's bonkers.

English rugby clubs ‘heading for disaster’ after mounting £300m in debts

Saints under the cap and relatively well run. How much would it cost to pay Saints to cover for others finacial issues. Wasps, Worcester, Irish given no help but all of a sudden other clubs need bailing out

    A Political Thread pt. 2

It's difficult because i also get how the Ulez disproportionately impacted on those less well off and low payed workers. The cost of living making it very difficult for those without wealth to get an EV or newer car. Coupled with public transport being expensive and unreliable. One benefit...

SNP broke off with the greens and ditched parts of it's climate pledge. Wales Labour changing a number of the 20mph limits. Cambridge Labour run just ditched it's congestion charge ideas because of the back lash. Nobody in powers gives a monkeys about the climate when it might impact votes...

Labour will dine out on we are fixing the Tory mess for a few years before it starts to get thin. Then people will want to see real change. The trouble being the can't rock the boat on the brexit voting red wall seats as they need the votes. Especially when a high amount of the so called thick...

    Cockerill has it bang on...

From the 2011 England squad take out the 2003 players and and players still playing. Joe Public wouldn't have a clue but they can probably name more of the 2019 England team. It also depends on your definition of stars. Six nations and Rwc tv audiences are increasing. Places like Japan...

According to the beeb one of the chants was "No borders, no nations, stop deportations" Not sure they've really thought that through.

Tigers should still have letters. Games gone softer.

    The Ukraine War thread

It's Chloropicrin which i didn't think is in CS and is legally outlawed. My CBRN knowledge is not up to date tbh so not 100%.

Not good. Wonder if Biden will make good on "severe consequences". https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-68941220.amp

    What games are you playing?

Anyone actually played Starfield? Was hoping it would be great. Reviews put me off as i can't justify owning a PS5 and a Xbox to play one mediocre game.

My knowledge of taxes is pretty slim so i might be way out on this. Non-doms generate roughly 8 billion to the UK economy. Removing the status could generate 10 billion but that's based on them staying. If they leave the UK economy could be worse off from the 8 billion that it is currently...

Names on shirts is a good thing. There's little point in comparing football with rugby. One's a global popular billion dollar sport the others not. Rugby doesn't hold any moral high ground over football either.

Is this all going to hinder Biden at the ballot box. With a risk Biden looks like he's losing control. Assuming Trump makes it to November. https://us.cnn.com/2024/04/30/politics/student-protests-election-year-analysis

    Premiership Rugby 23/24 - Round 16

Might be wrong but there's no offence with the ball carrier as long as he's not dipped below the hips leading with the head etc. It is probably something that should be looked at. Or go the community route with guidance of target the belly area below the ball. Or even the old school he...

    Premiership Rugby 23/24 - Round 16

Care accepts he could have done better on the BBC rugby union weekly. Not overly convinced by the arguements he made for his non-yellow. But as he rightly said the refs association or whatever it is backed it wasn't a cardable offence, penalty only.

    What games are you playing?

Bit like the movie thread Star Wars debate. Gaming, Star Wars and Super Heroes seem to have that certain toxic base that is very vocal. Sad and depressing. Yet they then complain gaming has an image of lonely men sat in mothers basement, covered in Dorito dust having intermate relations with...

    The Movie Thread

To be honest i don't think they were any worse than the Lucas three of Menace, Clones and Sith. I found them probably more dull and further examples of films that needed a trim.
