Indeed, they could have a big impact.

I hope Lynn Howells will try more players at the IRB Nations Cup this summer. Kinikinilau will become eligible, hopefully he gets included. I would also like to see Gabriel Conache get a chance, as well as Filip Lazar (who seems to play well as fly half for his Federale 1 club). Ionut Florea is another fly half playing in the Federale, maybe he could be given another shot as well.

The Division 1B competition finished today, Ukraine beat Poland 29-28 in farily meaningless game, while Germany secured a bonus point victory over Sweden 45-20 which qualified them for the next round of European RWCQ's. Suprisingly Moldova lost to the Czech Republic 37-19. This ends their World Cup dreams.

Germany will now take on the Netherlands in a couple of weeks to determine who plays Russia for the European repechage spot.

Also, Germany will be promoted to the European Nations Cup 1A from which Belgium is relegated to Division 1B for the coming two years.

The Netherlands - Germany will be played on May 10 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and I wil probably be in attendance.

Germany defeated the Netherlands 17-7 today and will advance to play Russia to determine who will be the European repechage qualifier.
