since for some off us the Autumn test matches are coming to an end for this season so from what we've seen what do you think will happen in next years six nation and who do you think might get it.

for me i think Ireland is a clear winner, they've beaten a strong Springboks team, and they are facing the harder teams in the six nations at home and the slightly easier teams away and they just don't look like losing a game at all.
England will be very close to getting the prize but just missed out beating the Irish.
In the last 2 six nations france has not been great at all but after beating the Australians and won comfortably against Fiji they will definitely be in a fighting chance for the top spot
Wales hasn't look that great atm they might slack on the tournament due to recent form unless they sort it out before the six nations it wont look to bright for them.
Scotland even though look alot better then they did in the last six nations, they still wont get too high up this year, we'll definitely beat Italy and i have a feeling we can shock the welsh this year and get revenge for the hammering last year.
Italy as well looks a little bit better but not much to prevent losing all they're games as they do have a tough fixture for this year.

so i think the table will look like this
1.) Ireland
2.) England
3.) France
4.) Scotland
5.) Wales
6.) Italy

so thats my opinion what do you think will happen ?

Scotty, I don't often stop and say it, but I'm proud of the things you sometimes do in Ewison. Now, if it wasn't you making this thread and thieving the copyright concept and title from a past thread of mine, I'd probably require the person sends me an envelope with recreational drugs by mail, as reparation. But just for the good will on your part and your intent on keeping this wretched, wretched forum going...I offer you two tomatoes

Now about the said sneakily stolen topic...it'll be hilarious when Wales come out of nowhere, probably play one first weekend shhitty match just to instill even less confidence into people about their ability to compete for the title, and then storm past everyone and overtake the top nations and lift another trophy.

I don't know, we'll have to wait and see how the last few weeks of EOYT go, but indeed Ireland are the best 6N right now and last year they managed to win the title despite having two of the more difficult away fixtures for them. This coming tournament they're hosting France and England and are the one team that doesn't have much trouble at Millennium Stadium. So, it seems all tailor-made for them, this 2015 6N, and the Irish fans will say that things look too perfect and so Ireland will fail as Ireland 'don't like to be in the spotlight'.

But I agree that bar England and Wales every team has progressed in these Autumn int'ls.
England are still good but have shown their limits once and for all. France right now look better and a bit relevant. Scotland under Cotter have really improved, and even Italy have looked more competitive.

I would swap Wales and Scotland around. Scotland tend to do better relative to their 6 nations form in the autumn internationals, and are always talked up, but always seem to find themselves playing Italy to avoid the wooden spoon. Wales are always talked down following their yearly scare against [insert Pacific Island side] but usually do better than expected in the six nations, and if they beat either England, Ireland or France early on get the confidence to go on to win it.

Agreed - I also think Ireland have a high chance of getting the Grandslam, barring injuries at the scrum (I know there's better depth than there was previously, but I don't think their 2nd/3rd choices are of real international standard, as evidenced today vs Georgia).

2-5 could really be in any order. France looking good, but who knows. England looking average at best but probably still good for 3-4 wins. Wales looking pretty poor but then history shows us they'll probably Grandslam the thing now. Scotland definitely on the up, though attack is still an issue.
Italy aren't improving at the rate Scotland are (if at all), and I think will go winless (though if Wales don't buck their ideas up then they could be in for a shock on their trip to Rome).

Lets see how the rest of the EOYT goes. I've a feeling things might turn around (positively and negatively) for some teams. For instance Ireland could lose to Australia and England and Wales could win their matches.

but at-least its no were near as bad as it was last yearm the only problem with attack for me is the scots dont know when to pass and when to run at the line

I'm looking at the schedule again, and in theory I've picked the one game that should be the most difficult per side:

- England: Dublin, midway (Week 3).
- France: Twickenham, last weekend.
- Wales: Paris, midway (Week 3).
- Ireland: Cardiff, Week 4.
- Scotland: Paris/Twickers.
- Italy: Twickenham, Week 2.

idk about paris likes i think more so ireland at murrayfield bout out off the two i think Twickenham will be our toughest tbh

Scotland has had trouble against both France and England for a while now. It's surely between these two, given they're also away fixtures. Pick your poison, Twickers or Stade de France, but it's definitely betw these two for Cotter's men.

The schedule is close to ideal for Ireland - start with Italy, followed by a home game. That should get momentum rolling - rest for England - rest for Wales - pile over against Scotland.

I can see why they wouldn't want to talk it up but from where everywhere else is sitting, this looks like theirs to win and lose.

Like anyone though it's all about momentum. It's still too far out and while we are on our "kinder" schedule when we have France and England at home I do hate the fact we've 2 away games to finish out. It's the same schedule as 09 but the Scots I believe are better so that toughens it up and the key is momentum. I think if Murray or Sexton suffer injury that could hurt us massively too.

so is people thoughts after the recent results ? i really think now scotland can contest for 1st, now i see why some people predict to win the six nations next year.

here's what's going to happen...France are going to win 3 games. They're finally going to get rid of that annoying little shiitstreak the Welsh have over us, and they're actually going to beat the English in Twick and the Irish in Dublin. Their losses will be in Rome, and in Murrayfield.

I haven't read the posts or the schedule but going off performances I'll say:

1. Ireland
2. France
3. England
4. Wales
5. Italy
6. Scotland

scotland 6th ? are you high

No, haven't been since college. Honestly I think Scotland and Italy are interchangeable.
