A look ahead: the 2015 Six Nations

scotland 6th ? are you high

Wales 5th? Are YOU high?

Scotland is my second favourite team, but they will lose to Wales in all probability unless we have a total shocker.

For me -

1. Ireland
2/3. England/Wales
4. France
5. Scotland
6. Italy

Honestly, could be anyone but Italy. Yes, even Scotland. They actually look really rather impressive this autumn, and if they make another step as big as the one between the summer and autumn, then they'll be in contention. Ireland and England are obviously there or there abouts, and Wales have shown they have the capacity. France are France. This is the hardest, most universally competitive it's been to predict in a long time, though if I had to put money on it, it'd be Ireland, without the Grand Slam.

well not impossible

Oh no of course not. They're certainly heading in the right direction and Wales haven't been at their peak in the past couple of years, despite winning it in 2013 and Lions contribution.

I've got to be honest though, my point is that there is a better chance of Scotland coming 6th behind Italy than 4th in front of Wales... IMO of course.

And for no apparent reason.....

That would be my view too although would like to see them get 4th!

Ireland should win it, with France coming in at second on current form. England and Wales are an abomination.

a bit of history now: has Oirlend ever won it twice in a row row, row your boat ?

Answer is yes, once outright:

The also did it from 1926-27 and 1982-83 but they were actually second in 26, 27 and 83 considering pts diff.

Really? Wales are better than one of Ireland / England / France by a bigger margin than Scoland is better than Italy?

Erm, this makes no sense. I said 4th that could be after those three teams...

Edit - But are Wales a better team than Scotland by a bigger margin than Scotland are a better team than Italy?...Is that what you were getting at? If so, the answer would unequivocally be yes.

all you weirdos saying Ireland will win are fkng insane in the membrane. Have you learned NOTHING from contemporary Rugby clichés ?!! Very disappointing to read...

Here here, read read read...:
Wales will lose by 4 points next week to South Africa in an enormous but ultimately insufficient effort and will only have the one laborious quasi-shameful win against Fiji to claim as victory in four November tests. Cliché ? Check.
France look okay again so people have inevitably propelled them into the status of European force. Not that this is necessarily erroneous, it may turn out to be true, but the point is there's absolutely no way in hell to know for sure. This isn't only France. This is Saint-André-era France. The UNIVERSE (and very concept of infinity)...is less mysterious.
England don't look as strong as earlier during the year and immediately find themselves in the background of everybody's subconscious and few are picking them to win. Cliché ? Check. So far, so good.
Back to Wales now: everything is beautifully in place, stereotypical and paradigmatic, so Wales will come raging back for a 6N title after a scrappy shiitty crappy November home tour, Ireland will be strong but certainly won't win a second 6N in a row (I mean what are you, sensible ??) and will ultimately disappoint, everybody will be on England's dick again when they're now playing shiitty 6N opposition and not Sanzar beasts and looking formidable again, France will question mark interrogation mysterious enigma why how for how long wine n' cheese, and Scotland and Italy will have shown progression and neither will go winless.

Another beautifully carved made-in-FFR Wooden Spouun.

Made to measure for Philippe & his hapless gang aka Les Pieds Nickelés. Comes with a shiny tri-colour ribbon. A collector's item.

Philippe has developped an unerring taste for them. He wants to add to his collection.

No doubt our players will be happy to oblige considering how much they want to play for him :D
