Ankle exercise.

Rest, Ice, repeat. Ankles are all ligament and whatnot, so more likely than not you've strained that. Give it some time...forcing it back into action too early will result in constant re-straiining. I did this off and on for a whole rugby season...sucked. It really didn't heal till the summer when I finally gave it a proper rest.
 
Immediate - RICER (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation, Referral)

Later - You need to get back doing exercise that doesn't involve placing weight on it. Eg. Remedial work in a pool. Are you still in Jay-pan, or are you back in the UK? Because last I'd heard you'd been abducted by the Yakuza. That would probably make doing this sort of exercise difficult...
