I have been toying with doing some editing of player attributes and calibres. However, to do it effectively i think I need to work out some benchmarks, so it would be easier to figure out what levels some attributes should be. I have been going through the attribute ranges for International and World Class calibre players and thought I would share what I have found so far. Hopefully with enough data some benchmarks will appear, making it easier to get an idea of how to edit players consistently.
Anyway, below are my findings for LP,TP, HK and LK, along with some conclusions from the data. My hope is to do the same thing for the other positions, and then have a look at national level players. One thing to bear in mind - the attributes of players seems to be randomized within parameters every time you start a new game (though obviously not any edited players you load up), so this data is not universal, though I figure it should be fairly representative, given the number of players at these calibres.
EDIT: added the range for starred national level players (taking a sample of 10 of them) these in square brackets[]

What stands out from this for me is the difference the game has between LP and TP. An LP has much higher average aggression than a TP in the majority of players, especially at WC calibre. LPs seem to have Muscle at max or one below (95-96) whereas the TP has a much larger range, though a few do get up to 96. LP's are more powerful the majority of the time, with no TP having the power of a WC calibre LP. LPs are generally the better at rucking, the maximums being similiar but the LP minimum is much higher. Lastly for LPs, the LP has higher Tackling Ferocity than the TP. Where the TP shines is in Scrum and Strength - some WC LPs do reach near the levels of a TP's scrum and Strength, but all international and WC TP's have near as damn-it maximum in both.
I have worked out the average attributes for international and WC calibre players as well, which may be a more useful benchmark:

Hope that proves useful in some way!
EDIT: looking at the attributes of 10 starred national players I sampled, the gap between national star and international calibre seems quite a jump. Will be interesting to see if this follows through with the other positons.
