Some big games in there.

the 2 derby games will big tough.

3 derby games, if you count Coventry Wasps Vs Reading Irish!

Probably no coincidence that the fixture list has thrown up the two biggest local derbies on the last weekend before christmas, it's going to be a snorter of a weekend. Obviously on paper I'm confident, we're in the much better form and with Eastmond in and some fine weather we should be looking to get 5 points, but nothing ****** all over the form book like a local derby, and if there's one thing that might disrupt a Bath team's rhythm it's a noisy Shed. Can't wait to give those tractor-loving yokels a damn good historic-spa-town seeing to.

A bit worried about this weekend cause not sure how wasps will react to there new home. Also were either rubbish or great but with Sheridan back we might be alright.

Can't wait for the match on Saturday. Bath will be favourites but I am queitly confident we can give them a good game and maybe even sneek a win. On paper there isn't much in the sides but unlike Bath were yet to click as a team. There have been signs in the last few weeks that we are just starting to gel as a team and If we can finally click in front of a packed Kingsholm we should have the edge.

Glos win by 5.

I can't wait for Kingsholm tomorrow, should be an amazing game. If we play as well as we can, we'll win, but it's certainly going to be tough. I just hope we can avoid the silliness that went on both on and off the pitch last season and instead just enjoy a great game of rugby.

My first away derby tomorrow, missed out on a ticket in the Shed so hoping for some good banter on the Stowford Press terrace.

Auterac should definitely be starting imo, possibly Thomas also. Should be a great game though.

Gloucester Rugby:
Steve McColl; Charlie Sharples, Henry Purdy, Billy Twelvetrees (capt), Jonny May; James Hook, Greig Laidlaw; Yann Thomas, Richard Hibbard, John Afoa; Tom Savage, Tom Palmer; Sione Kalamafoni, Matt Kvesic, Ross Moriarty

Replacements:

Darren Dawidiuk, Nick Wood, Sila Puafisi, James Hudson, Elliott Stooke, Dan Robson, Mark Atkinson, David Halaifonua

Gutted that we are missing both Gareth Evans and Ben Morgan. That's a lot of go-forward to be missing, although it does help to still have Kalamafoni. He will have to step up his performances though. Missing a few other faces with long-term injuries too.

Interesting to see Halaifonua on the bench for the first time. Hope he goes well.

Sale Sharks vs Exeter
Mike Haley, Will Addison, Jonny Leota, Sammy Tuitupou, Mark Cueto, Danny Cipriani, Chris Cusiter, Eifion Lewis Roberts, Marc Jones, Vadim Cobilas, Jonathan Mills, Nathan Hines, Dan Braid (Captain), Magnus Lund, Josh Beaumont

Replacements: Shalva Mamukashvili, Ross Harrison, James Flynn, Andrei Ostrikov, David Seymour, Will Cliff, Joe Ford & Mark Jennings

Considering injuries that's about as good as can be. Definitely would have started Cliff over Cusiter, though - would've brought in Ingall for Cueto, too, he's looked pretty poor since his return from injury.
Brady unlucky to miss out to Addison, but it's a case of getting Addison as much game time as possible after his, essentially, two years off through injury. His future lies in the centre, but he's got enough pace to play wing (and has done a fair bit in the past) so makes sense to keep Sam/Johnny in midfield.
No idea what's going to happen in the game - games between Sharks/Chiefs are normally pretty entertaining for one reason or anything (usually a blow out to one side, or too close to call). Shame I'm going to be working :(

Auterac should definitely be starting imo, possibly Thomas also. Should be a great game though.

Agree about Auterac, he's been a lot better than James both in the scrum and in the loose this year, earned himself the right to call himself the starting loosehead. Even more so with Paul James leaving at the end of the year, all the more reason to get Auterac plenty of game time and prepare him to be first choice for the forseeable future. I wouldn't agree on Thomas though, Wilson's on top form in the scrum right now, and always does more in the loose for Bath than England.

Very strong side apart from that. I like that back row, two big ball carriers combined with Louw disrupting on the floor, and with Auterac throwing himself about as well that lot could give Gloucs a really horrible time if it all clicks. Louw's return might prove crucial, he was quietly effective in his first game back (and played the full 80 minutes as I recall, which bodes well) and I'm hoping the Big Day Out of an away derby day could spark him into a proper big performance this weekend. With him at his best, power throughout the pack and the backline we all know and love, we could be seriously terrifying.

However, it's a derby. Who the hell knows?

Just noticed that Croft is getting his first start. Great news to have him back. I really do hope he pushes on and challenges for the England 6 spot.

We've got a new hooker on the bench Harry Allen. He got sacked by Quins for doping but he now gets another chance. Also before we only had 1 fit hooker paicey.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Didn't see the game, but sounds like Chiefs were unlucky to get one (or both) of the yellows in the first half, but then we were unlucky not to be awarded a Dan Braid try.
I'll take the win though!
