Nobody is disputing his talent. His mental toughness is what's bringing him down, and the chances he's had for the Boks, have left much to be desired. And I think Rassie made the right call not to select him, as we've seen in the past how guys' careers flop when they're not able to perform at that level. See, I don't see what you're seeing. Firstly on centre, Frans has been invaluable for us when he came on this season. His ability to target players in weak defensive positions, have proven to create tries for us, and his quick hands caused one such try against Argentina. As for fly half, the fear of him being charged down can be negated by Faf taking box kicks, and Willie maybe switching up with him for tactical kicks. But there are few guys I'd back other than Frans to take on the line, drop kick at goal, or slot a vital penalty from a distance. For sure. Mbonambi IMHO is in better form than Marx, and has been consistently better than Marx this year. Nyakane is also for me the best tighthead for the Boks, and his skills at the rucks are also something we shouldn't forget. I think we should stop talking about worst case scenario. Please let the doom prophets sleep a bit longer
