Boots for 2nd row?

Hi, I'm after a bit of advice on boots for 2nd row? I'm about to get a new pair and unsure of what to get... I've just started playing 2nd row for our 2nd team and currently have last years Adidas Flankers, which i've knackered by over tightening one of the studs so everytime I run I can feel it on the the ball of my foot.

My goal is to move to Number 8... I find and 8 stud boot slows me down... are 6 stud fine for 2nd row? I'm looking at the Adidas R15... or does anyone have any other recommendations?

Well if you stick with second row I'd go for http://www.lovell-rugby.co.uk/Rugby-Boots/Canterbury/Stampede-Elite-8-Stud-Rugby-Boots they serve me well and you can run fairly quick in them.

I'd go for the R15s, like you said - I'm sure some pro locks use them, and if you're planning on trying out the backrow they'll be good for there too

I really love them there my favourite pair of boots and will buy many more pairs when these ones ware out.
