Help Support The Rugby Forum:

I'll be first here to say it. Leinster will win by more than 7. And I hope they do. I think their approach is ideal this time. They are battle hardened and have cohesion. I think they sorted the 10 position for the better of the team as a whole and will have too much for Bordeaux

Who are the neutrals up for?

Feel like we'll have a bit more support this time before it was only the enlightened La Rochelle haters in 2023.
Leinster, hopefully you'll hold up cardboard signs mocking UBB on your bus parade.

Yes I know you are too nice for that.

Supporting UBB would be only mildly preferable to getting an STD.

Leinster will put it up to UBB and exert a lot of pressure on their attacking line.
Leinster have been attacking cohesively with short passes and with less chance of turnover. They will kick contestables as if they kick loosely, they die.
Both Snyman and Baird are out so I expect UBB to attack this weakness at lineout time.
Bennetton and indeed Northampton last year showed that attacking down the 10 channel and/or splitting Leinsters defensive line creates opportunities out wide. This may also split Leinsters better defenders/leaders or put them all on one side. I do expect Leinster to have a plan for this (drift if vulnerable) but Noel McNamara will attack them this way.
The performance last weekend had few errors. Should be a cracker.

Could hit 30 degrees in this match.

I don't think that's as big a deal as some are making out, these lads are pros. But mad it's not an evening match at the same time. They initially moved it forward to avoid the Champions League Final clash and thats fair enough. Except it's not on Saturday so it's just another bad decision they've made.

Not a Pi$$ take here but the time of game was dictated by French TV who don't want this clashing with Cannes Film Festival and some event that is in the evening.
They who pay the dough have the influence.

Glad we went for Clarkson for the start.
Guess Osborne covers more positions but would probably have started him.

It's a gamble bringing McCarthy straight onto the bench but think it's the right move.

Would feel a lot better with Snyman and Baird available.

I don't really care who wins, hope its a cracker though.

Implying Leinster players would ever be seen dead on a bus. Will be a range rover parade.

Munster are range rover parade surely: half fee paying Munster schools and half from Leinster. O'Gara and POM have the men of the people act but even they were fee paying boys.

So weird how much that Munster fans hate Leinster when we keep your club's head above water despite your own best efforts.
Let me gargle your nuts for you. It's perfectly ok to hate other Irish teams. I hate them all. Munster included

That said there's a good chance I may actually do the recent Munster fan past time of watching another sport instead of rugby tomorrow

It's fair enough though. Limerick and Cork don't have real rugby people like Dublin, Galway or Belfast (and the surrounding areas). The lauded Munster "support" has always been performative glory hunting, couldnt be expected to watch the final of a tournament that means more to "their" club than any other, sure they dont even support their country anymore because they cant produce players to represent it.

Limerick has lost interest with all their hurling success lately and Cork have followed because they look like they might win something.

Edit: rant may be related to currently listening to Earls book - fascinating read, mostly for what he's gone through outside the game, but so much "fan" lip service.

Isn't the point of the meme that the guy is bitter about the success of the others? Even after our worst, most embarassing season in yonks we still finished above Ulster and Connacht in the league mind you!

I'm really not gonna go way off topic and get into why a club in a city of 1.3 million with a team that wins every week getting better attendances than a struggling team with a local population of 200,000 disconnected from its main support base by a 90 minute drive isn't that impressive (again). I'm sorry if it hurts Leinster fans feelings that I won't be cheering them on! I think the team will be ok though.

Also what do real rugby people look like? I bet you meet a lot more real (insert sport here) fans when a local team is flying!

I love this as the fall back when it's always Munster fans going out of their way to say they're not supporting Leinster (not in this case but I'm mad for aforementioned reasons). But none of ye care so it's OK!

Anyway, Reiko scores in a win tomorrow and I will no longer ******* hate him!

Didn’t really go out of my way when you literally asked who neutrals are supporting lol?

FWIW I reckon Leinster will win and won’t hold anything against them if they do. Not actively cheering for them though.

You're blinded by anger now, not even reading beyond the first sentence.

Concerned after observing how Ulster suffered in the heat. Intensity was down which aided Montpellier’s steam roll job in Ulsters 22.
Hot day early autumn is not as bad as every body has heat adapted over Summer. This might be some of the Leinster players first hot day of the season.
Hope I’m wrong but it was certainly a factor against Ulster today.
