Munster signed Michael Alaalatoa for the remainder of the season. By all accounts a good guy and all, but definitely not on the level of ambition I was hoping. Understand a 6 month contract is a pretty tough sell, but we're really just plugging a gap with a body. Beats nothing, but can't imagine he will lift us at all. Wonder if a Jager retirement announcement is coming.

I think we are due a longer term TH signing in the Summer, so ultimately as a stopgap this is grand

Will be an interesting watch. But McCall would have as good a chance as anyone of getting the very best out of him.

Presumably he’s had pretty stringent medicals. Maybe even a reduced salary to begin with until he can prove sustained fitness?

If he gets back we could see England present with him and Itoje and England future with him and Sodeke. Pretty sure SB sees Martin, Itoje and Chessum in his first choice 23.

Wonder if Isiekwe might be on his way? Loyal club man but stalled internationally and gets a very good reception at Saints when he goes back.

Apparently he was on 350k at Tigers and tigers didn't offer him a pay increase and wanted a number of games condition. Tigers refused to match Sarries offer.

Which TBF I understand the way England use Curry and Martin in the past they really don't seem to care about the clubs and even if they only 75% fit they will be used by england

Hoping tigers go after either Kpoku or Sodeke as we have a very good starting to offer

Tigers lock stock is pretty good, would you really want/ need to replace Martin?
