Dean Ryan joins Scotland coaching set-up

Former England number eight Dean Ryan has joined Scotland as forwards coach for their Six Nations campaign.

I don't get the fascination with Dean Ryan as a rugby coach. He hasn't had a head coaching gig in 4 years and even then he failed to deliver consistent results for a then strong Gloucester team. I think his excellent punditry (in comparison with Barnes and Morris at least) is adding to the myth that he's a top coach.
