Nah, Farrell's just done it and I saw reports that he's the 5th player to do have done it. Not sure who the other 4 are though.

Highest England points scorer too.

With all those accolades I don't understand how he gets all that ****.

Not sure the Championship fits in there haha.

Number of personal accolades as well, think it's two times nominated WPOTY as well?

Highly doubt he retires in 2 years time from internationals he's only 30.

Obviously depends on his fitness but I could see him targeting the next B&I lions tour would he be the first player to do 4 tours?

He’s 31 in October. He’ll be 33 by the time the RWC ends - those are natural watersheds anyway and suspect that part of his dream is emulating Johnson by walking away with Bill in his hands while still pretty much at the top of his game. Odds against, but someone writes his scripts.

While very loyal, he’s also far more multi dimensional than most players and I can also see him wanting to bank some new experiences before he hangs up his boots.

Regardless of RWC outcome, he might choose to go on, but I think there would have to be a real driver there beyond just being able to.

Oghre and Blamire called up

Blamire getting the Tigers bounce, he was dire whenever I saw him last season, though realistically he'll probably just be holding tackle bags for a few days

Well you clearly werent watching the same Blamire that i was. He was top class and incredibly physical with one key flaw...his lineout. Its always been his Achilles heel which sadly is a big one when your a hooker.

IF and its a HUGE IF Tigers can get that functioning then they are getting a class act. Remains to be seen.

Yeah, but he's a hooker - that's absolute number 1 priority for his skillset, and it was worse than I've seen it before
And i acknowledged that, its cost us tries for and against...and i wouldnt actually take him to the US.

But to say his alround game as you suggested was dire was WAY off the mark. It simply wasnt!

If they can get his lineout sorted he could be a real good signing for the Tigers.

What is it with English hookers. Singleton and Walker both mentioned in the other thread also fairly erratic with their line outs. LCD much improved but not perfect. As Olyy says it’s a non-negotiable and George and Hartley have been light years ahead.

And I’d still love to know whether Barbeary’s darts weren’t fixable or whether just didn’t want to fix them as he fancied the glory boy ball in hand stuff (my spin on his words). Ships have sailed etc, but he ain’t getting a look in at international back row any time soon
