France v South Africa - 8/11/2025

He turned sideways and dropped the shoulder into his head.
Honest question: do you sincerely believe the tried to do that, he was reckless or that the ball carrier dropping like a rock was the main factor in that happening?

I am okish with an unfortunate incident leading to a YC. I can tolerate that. But a straight RC? Permanent one? Nah, you've got to give the defender a chance. It's as if the ones making the rules want the defenders to be responsible for anything and everything (result), even when half of those things are outside of their control.

Guy went low, i (opinion) dont think he was trying to do that (i.e he had to adjust on the fly) and the ball carrier dropper very low and very fast.

He wrapped with his right and he's trying to bring his left around when it hits the ball.

No chance, his left arm is tucked under himself, straightned. I love a hit as much as the next man, but that was probably the right decision.
Biggest two commercial games of the year and iffy red cards. Man I'm ****** off.

I agree here, the constant reds are ruining the game as a specracle, every decision in the Beirne case was correct, as according to the laws, but it damages the growth of the game

I highly doubt there was intent. Was he unlucky? Perhaps but his lack of wrap and body position meant he was unsighted as the shoulder dropped and hit his head with a lot of force. It looked much worse than Beirne's one last weekend where he simply braced as Barrett ran into him.

I agree with most of this, except De jager tucked his arm, i personally think he was trying to hit a smaller player, had he wrapped im right here with you, but he doesnt, and well he was unlucky to catch thw head, but the no arm was a decision made.

I've gone back to check these, de Jager wasn't bringing his left arm around.

Incidentally, autocorrect changed my misspelling of "left" to "lady". I want to set the record clear, Lood de Jager does not have a lady arm.
You have a woman's arm! @General Melchett I hope your knowledge extends beyond series 4.

I'm not so sure. This is a very strong SA team.

I would isually agree, but not only are they down to 14, the game is high tempo, ball is staying in play , and Rassie made a 30 min prop sub...

They will slow, its whether France can be patient in the next 15 mins

France have punched themselves out. No way near enough points for the dominance, I've no idea what the oen count us but its got to be big.
