When i was at the tigers forum, it was mentioned by the panel that the premiership are looking to expand the A league to a full 22 game competition, and that they wouldn't be able to loan out development players next season because of it.

So looks like something to keep an eye on.

If that was the case personally would rather see the AWC dismantled and get the A league games streamed properly or at least see if BT or Sky wants the rights for a Monday night game where it might want to fill in the air space.

The NRL junior comp mirrors the senior as far as I know, and it's televised.

Would be glad to watch it.

So AW cup dismantled meaning prem players play less games as sometimes prem players play i the aw cup, but they wouldn't play in an a league meaning less demand on players

And the chance to get a good look at young up and coming players throughout the season. I think its a great idea and hope it happens.

I thought teams were struggling to fill the current A league?
I think that's partly because teams don't care about it.
Easier to call it off than try and get players in from their feeder clubs or get academy lads in etc.
