With everything in all sport currently up in the air, it is now the time to reset the sporting calendar.

For Union this means, taking the power from the 6N??? Difficult I know, but surely CVC would be open to getting 'best value' for their products.

Attached is my plan for a global calendar starting in the 2023-24 NH season.

1) it separates Internationals from 'club' rugby.
2) it shortens the NH club season, to support player welfare and also to give fans a better product on the pitch, as the top players will be playing a greater percentage of games.
3) expands TRC to include Japan, and reduces this to 4 games over 6 weeks (enabling travel and/or 1 return fixture).

6 Nations give a slap down to Crowley for his pre-tournament rallying cry of

"Forza Italia - realising the dream of relegation!"

But then the Chief Exec of the 6N does appear to show some favour for a Global Calendar / World League type thing. I was not expecting that. I thought it was completely dead in a ditch. It doesn't strike me as him trying to fob off the issue either really.
