Gloucester sign Ackerman

Johan Ackerman will join Gloucester at the end of this year's Super Rugby competition to take up a role up north.

He is the best Super Rugby coach South Africa has who has turned the Lions around from perennial bottom loggers to ***le contenders. Quite a loss for SA rugby but good buy for Gloucester.

This! I hope that he picks up a lot of experience and a few new ideas while he's up there, just like Franco Smith, Heyneke Meyer, Jake White and so many others have in the past.

Been on the cards for a few weeks - really pleased tbh.

Will be interested to see what he does with the rest of the coaching team as I think there are a couple who aren't quite up to the job.
