[QUOTE="McTallshort, post: 818594, member: 53362"] On the subject of building a 70k plus stadium I think you Kiwis are over thinking this a bit. The old adage "build it and they will come" is a good one. Pick one of the larger populated cities probably Auckland, build the ground along with some good transport links, some cheapish hotels and a biggish shopping mail and I bet it not only be filled for every All Black game but it would be an ideal place to host cup finals, football internationals, Test Cricket plus a host of other things. The NZRFU could subsidise travel costs for people in more distant locations (they wouldn't make as much money as they would selling it to a local but they would still make some money) they could also subsidise the new hotels around the ground making it easier for people travelling to stop over and make a weekend of it. Obviously there are a lot of what ifs but I think it could be achievable with the right mindset and people. Oh and Smartcooky we may not have to cross mountains to get the Twickenham but getting across Greater London has it challenges particularly when you consider the train platform at Twickenham is smaller than you average bathroom.
