I think more likely he died from adrenal crisis caused by overdoing cortisone injections for his back after he injured it doing good morning exercises.

I went for a hike around a very large reservoir today and spotted 5 geese at random places that had crawled ashore and died. For context, I've never seen a dead goose in my life despite being out and about in the such places constantly - so this does seem very different. DEFRA warning notices everywhere about reporting multiple deaths. I'm sure nature can bounce back in time but it was bit unsettling. Nut roast for Xmas anyone?
