HEC: Toulouse - Gloucester (13-11-2011)

What...kicking it out when you need a try to win. Chances are that if Toulouse got the ball they'd boot it out anyway, so they were always going to get the bonus point. That's pretty pathetic.

Frig. It looked like an obvious forward pass to me (and when it showed the camera angle from behind, it didn't even look to hit a Glos player..). Disappointing - could have been an excellent win, and we'd have needed it since it's going to be such a difficult group.. :/

1 BP > 0 BP, and we'd have been vulnerable to have attacked from so deep. I'm a bit disappointed we didn't try though.

A try out of nothing there. Trinder has impressed me today, kid has some serious wheels on him. Speaking of which if you assume Sharples is next in line for an England wing spot you could have a back three of Foden, Ashton and Sharples. Bloody hell thats some speed there
+ Croft, Lawes, Trinder, Youngs/Simpson

Haha. That's some excellent pace we'd have in the team.

Agree about Trinder - quite impressive and creative. Thought Tindall had a good game too. France 2 TV made Burgess MOTM; he certainly was good in the second half but not very good in the first. Both the late tries reeked of forward passes so I guess one cancels out the other.

I think Tindall wasted 10 years of career playing 13. He's much better at 12.

Shocker from Toulouse, but I'll take the lucky win. I only watched the second half, and I think Burgess looked all right for a first game. Certainly not MOTM but well. Galan continues to impress.
