im playing it on a laptop with intergrated graphics (brian laras cricket runs fine even rugby 06!!)

1) check for a game update
2) check for a graphics card updates
3) check your antivirus, firewall or windows firewall

Failing that, I'm stumped.....sorry

no good buddy

ive tried graphics card update etc

ubisoft site is crap no help there <_< havent seen the swordfish chap for a while

so will keep trying

ta ;)

Sh*t! :ranting:

I've the same problem on my Dell Laptop with an Nvidia Geforce 4 440 GO graphics card...

WCR worked perfectly :cryy:

I requested help from support.ubi.com but - damn! - not yet an answer!!!

I think it's a shame RC2006 should work ONLY with a few graphic cards, I was lookin' forward for this game for so long time...

PLEASE!!! Someone make disposable any patch for not supported hardware!!! :%#%#:

yeah its a weird one thats for sure, seems to me that since rugby 06 came out all interest has shifted to that, nevermind

<_<

Seems your pc has taste :p

sorry i'll leave

Can you let me have the specification for your PC - I do not think it will be another app (firewall, virus guard), it sounds like a hardware issue though. Laptops are notoriously problematic as they often have unorthodox hardware configs.

Support is supposed to come direct from Ubisoft, but I will get someone to look into it here for you.

cheers for getting back to me, sadly ive binned the game for my laptop as it kept crashing,

its a IBM thinkpad R51, with 1GB of memeory, intel M 1500 processor, windows XP pro SP2, Intel intergrated graphics card with latest drivers

I'm out of the office until Wednesday ... Cheltenham Gold Cup week and have an annual soiree with the boys - but will get one of my engineers to look at this then.

So have a very good time, Trev!

I've forgot to tell the error message that RC2006 gives me as the commentary starts (when the game hang on):
______________
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Assertion failed!

Program: ...Hip Interactive\Rugby Challenge 2006\Rugby.exe
File: .\EngineDebug.cpp
Line: 18

Expression: false

A lot of thanks again for your kindness... :)

I got an idea....totaly out of the blue, but try going here and try downloading Visual Basic 6.0 Service Pack 5 or Visual C++ Toolkit 2003.

May help, may do sod all, but worth a try.
