I want your opinions on who is in top form in the world cup.
So far I think Richie McCaw is on a great run
:bana:

Australia's speedy winger Drew Mitchell and Rocky Elsom started of with great games. Latham has shown he is still the player he used to be.

At the end of the pool matches we should be able to tell who the danger men will be in the finals series.

From the All Black game today:
-Chris Jack
-Ali Williams
-Richie McCaw
-Daniel Carter
-Leon MacDonald

From the Australia game:
-Mortlock
-Drew Mitchell
-Rocky Elsom

From the England game:
-Barkley
-Reese

Ali Williams has really stepped his perfomance. He was everywhere, acting like a fourth flanker....and also slowly regaining form is his locking partner Jack. McCaw is McCaw, same intensity week in week out.

Francois Steyn was impressive when he came on, set the Boks backline on fire after a dour first half.

Ledesna and Pichot were great for the Pumas. A mention needs to go to Sthephen jones and Alfie for changing the match v Canada. It's difficult to comment on many of the All Blacks and Aussies when the team was so collectively dominant.

Hmmm everyone not Englsih or French??

Nah, won't be so harsh, Reese and Barkley both had pretty good games.

Richie McCaw was immense as ever.

4 players not mentioned yet from round 1- Fernandez-Lobbe was absolutely phenomenal IMO for the Argies at 7, Jerry Collins showing some classy touch with both his passing and his kicking(!), Bryan Habana running rings around the Manu, and of course young Losper of Namibia for making the tackle of the tournament, to date, on Hickie.

Chabal showed his coach that he has to be on every team the french field

BOD for Ireland (even the overall weak performance agaist georgia) seems to be back

Jerry Collins is looking great and bringing out never seen before moves (for him at least). In fact he may get kicked out of the hard man's club for daring to put in deft kicks and sidestepping. Chabal's turn of pace against Namibia came as a surprise. Latu, T-Pole (despite his idiotic elbow) and Maka all played suberbly for Tonga against Samoa. (you can probably detect a positional bias here!). Cral Hayman is the best prop/lock/centere in the world!

Jerry Collins for sure..
Leon MacDonald
Fourie Du Preez
George Smith
Jean Baptiste Elissalde

For Australia the 3 players that have shined the most have to be Chris Latham, Matt Giteau and George Smith.

THE SPRINGBOOKS HABANNA DU PREEZ AND THE PUMAS LEGUISAMON, FERNANDEZ LOBBE, AND PICHOT

AND S. CHABAL, IS A BEAST

Do you mind not using capital letters?

Habanna, Habanna, Habanna,...

Wilkinson against Samoa 'cause of his influence on the english team.

Latham and Howlett.

Habana is playing some bloody good running rugby.

Latham is becoming very influential once again with both his kick and chase game and his positioning for kick from the opposition.
