The change will take effect from November 19, with the new brand and logo to be launched at the IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition in London on November 17.

Well that's pretty lame. For all the things there are to complain about the IRB, I've never heard anyone target it's name. It was in fact pretty descriptive. World Rugby doesn't really even make sense - I mean it has no description for the time of organizational structure...it's just a bit ***** saying "We ARE World Rugby"..

Yeah but they said that will show a new logo. I hope it's something new, different, another design, other colors, I don't know.

They should at least make it World Rugby Federation or Union or something.

However in saying that I dont think that "board" suits what it should be. It just means a few chairmans from a select group of unions making decisions, which is what it is now. It should be about representatives from all over the world instead.

I'm also hoping that there will be a restructuring of the IRB council. Either Italy and Argentina join the "foundation" unions, or they change it completely which is what i would prefer because they're not different to the "foundation" unions and would be just as selfish.
