Jokes aside, that's the crazy part. I deal fairly rarely with British ppl, there's a ton here in Qatar but it's just not my crowd. But there have been so many examples in my life, out of the limited encounters with English ppl I've had, where all I'm saying; that very peculiar chauvinism/superiority attitude; has been very apparent and obvious. I then collected those memories and thoughts and now it's just a concrete-solid conclusion. In fact, since we're at it: it is a fairly fascinating thing, how the British who were this one Germanic tribe parted ways, fled Central Continental Europe, and then became what they've become - and have this very special isolated attachment to their own, different from anything else in Europe, and this uniquely strong attachment to "the Colony". I've always seen the English as ants, not in a derogatory way at all, just in nature. All these ants, working hard and in great organization; "for the colony", the Queen seems to have this great value, implicit importance...it's symbolic of course today, but still - don't touch the Queen...and English ppl tend to be extremely touchy when others talk about these things (Queen, the country, the Rugby team...etc...), while other countries would take all that with more lightness... But this has absolutely nothing to do with this thread any more, I'm sorry for straying out so wide here. Not my intention to mess around here guys, this is just my natural reply to that above comment !
