Well after about 6 matches in World League, and the purchase of BOD

I COP MEGAFREEZE

Yes the game twicthed out mid-match, and froze on me, blasting out a monotonis sound for all the neighbours to hear

sounded like a DJ on crack!!!!!!!!!!
looked like a rugby field of statues!!!!!!!!!!

had to hit reset and play 6 matches again including some cup matches worth plenty of cash!!!

NOT HAPPY

A.B.S.

Always. Be. Saving.
yeah i know, and i do, just this time was the longest i went without saving

i cannot believe it takes 10 mins to save...its such a bloody chore compared to most games

nah. You talking PS2? nah. Saving/Loading times are not really a hassle for me. I think they're just fine (the times).

the loading times before a match are short and good

but the painstaking length of time to access memory card 1, and pick profile/tourno to save and then save it takes forever!

the whole process of saving a game kills me

agreed ak .... but its a necessary chore!! and atleast the important load times (like the matches etc) are pretty good...

I hate having to wait to actually play a game (R2004 was killer)

I started a Tri Nations and 6 minutes (game time) into the first half the ball magically got stuck inside the post. South Africa kept on trying to dive on it, and I kept on trying to hack it away. This went on for a while and I realised it was never going to come free.

Not so bad since I had just started, but the morale of the story is: Yes, always save.

And on another very cold night ....

Having messed around with the player editor trying to see what feature caused the nose warping I'd experienced with previous creations, I'd had to create numerous editions of 1 or 2 players to show the results of different sliders changed (I was practically testing the editor - something I wish EA/HB had bothered to do!) and these duplications had to be re-entered into squads to ensure they were saved...

Well having discovered the problem with the editor and working around it to create the few players that I wanted and cleaned up the roster's to return to normal (albeit recently updated) form, I thought I'd have a go on World League on Hard difficulty... its bloody hard, but manged to score 3 tries in 3 games, winning one of the matches along the way aswell with the shite team I was given. So now I felt its time to dump Heffler's sorry ass and buy in somebody useful.

Upon going to the Storage section and then Team 1, I see there are umpteen versions of the same players being stored there. These were not the numerous duplications of the CAP player I'd made (and then deleted so only one version remained), but copies of the EA created player over and over again that I had had to replace (P.O'Connell & G.D'Arcy were the main 2)...
okey I thought... I'd just need to clean up the rosters somewhere to fix the problem... so I thought I'd just have a look to see what was in Storage Team 2 ...... CRASH ! game freezes and needs a restart

... try it again.... CRASH
... and again...... CRASH
... and one more time.... !

So World League would no longer worked properly if selecting through the different Storage teams... the only way to fix it I thought would be the restore to default rosters option... which in itself means the deleting of all created players ... all 13/14 of my creations (and the time it took)!!!!

The moral of the story... deleting all my hardwork fixed the World League issue... and EA/HB have still managed to do something half-assed, as if the editing abilities of the game were not half-standard enough, now I know they have the ability to f*** the game up and also contain bugs... thanks HB/EA!

still a good game, but this has me peeved now!

console is brand new..........but it hasnt happened to my m8's so u never know

anyways it just reminds me of cricket 2004 where once u got past 500 runs in a test it always freezed

i save it all the time now

My computer freezes all the time.

I push reset more than I do 'space' I think.

like i should have????

a. i do save every 2-3 games - is this enough?? obviously not, coz even replaying 1 match let alone 2-3, the principle of the problem still exists.

sorry that i didnt know preventative measures of an act of 'megafreeze'

u make it sound like an SOP

games that freeze should NOT be sold....thats an SOP!!!!

and it takes more like a minute - from scrolling from "next match, to save game, to memory slot 1 to, r1 and select tourno, to save, and to overwrite and say yes then wait, until it saves", takes more than 30 secs garaunteed..............one of the longest saving process of any game i have come across.

EA have provided the problem of constantly saving, when in reality only a power out/serge should make u save something before turning the machine off.

and its a sure bet HB's products are known for the 'megafreeze'.......rugby 2004, and cricket 2001 cricket 2004 are plagued with the 'megafreeze' virus

the other posts in this thread validate the HB 'megafreeze outbreak'
just coz its cold in canada doesnt mean we all need to freeze to death aswell
