John 'Nobody' Eales discussion

Pretty simply one this. He should be in.

He achieved pretty much all there is, and tended to do it in a dignified manner.

Has there actually been a more successful international captain in the modern era? (there probably has, however i've made my point)

Well, I guess they do say Nobodys perfect.
thank god you said this

i saw the 'nobody' middle name and came here to spray some shells

John Eales - Single handedly won us the Bledisloe and Lions Tour

Since he has retired i dont think we have won a thing - nudda

Simply put - Without John Eales - The Wallabies wouldnt be anywhere near as good as we are now...........thats a scary thought coz we suck ass at the moment.

He is the backbone and foundation of the professional wallabies

He should and could be prime minister

What's that supposed to mean? [/b]
the name of the thread implies Eales is a nobody

u corrected that in detailing the nickname

and that is all i meant

I thought that it was a myth that the nickname of John Eales was "nobody".

As for entry into the hall of fame - I say no!

Just kidding - this is an easy one.

John Eales should be inducted into the hall of fame - it is that simple.

In his peak was one of the greatest locks to play the game. A fantastic and inspirational leader. And by all accounts, one of the nicest guys to have ever played the game.

The hall of fame should be about recognising the greatest players who played the game and also who helped ensure that rugby continues to have a reputation as a game that value courage, bravery, teamwork, and integrity.

And John Eales was all of that and more.

One of the all-time greats in my mind even if every time I hear his name I think about that one moment in Wellington 2000.
