Kits 2013/2014

Are England getting a new jersey design this year? Just seen prices on the home shirt have really dropped at Lovell Rugby (might get myself one in fact) and was wondering if this indicated a new strip in time of the Autumn Tests.

And Scotland also, right?

Macron to sponsor Scottish Rugby:

SCOTTISH Rugby has announced that it has secured the biggest sponsorship deal in its history.New kit partner, Macron, will come on board in the summer to become official kit supplier for all Scotland representative teams and the professional clubs, Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors.A unique part of the four-year deal will see Scottish Rugby ask supporters for their views on the new Scotland kit ahead of its launch later this summer.Scottish Rugby's Chief Executive Mark Dodson said: "This historic deal for Scottish Rugby is very welcome news and I would like to thank Macron for joining us in this ground-breaking partnership."The new deal will start on 1 July when our existing agreement with Canterbury of New Zealand comes to an end. "It's great that Scotland supporters will have the chance to influence the new jersey when Macron becomes Scottish Rugby's official kit supplier in July," Gianluca Pavanello, Macron's CEO said."It is an honour for us to be welcomed by Scotland, one of the cornerstone nations of international rugby, where the game of 7s was born."It is with great pride that we announce the entrance of the Scotland national rugby team alongside Scottish Rugby's pro-club Glasgow Warriors into the Macron family, while retaining Edinburgh Rugby, our first partnership in Scottish Rugby."We fully understand that these three organisations retain a very separate identity yet are linked by passion for the sport and share the end goal and honour to wear the thistle upon their chest. "These fundamental values fit well with Macron's message of 'Work Hard, Play Harder' and together with these great organisations we aim to spearhead rugby in Scotland from grassroots level all the way through to professionals.
"Working closely with the players, staff and the supporters we will continuously strive to develop high quality and technically superior products in order to allow all the athletes that wear Macron to concentrate on what they do best, which is playing rugby."

An advance, so will the polo shirts:

Dragons home and away 2013/14:

Home is nice but away is awful. Still better than the Euro kit from last year.

Blue and black supposed to be the "Kingdom of Gwent" flag. I actually think it makes a change compared to some years where they have been very much Newport led design as opposed to Gwent. At least they got rid of the dildo.

I figured as much, yeah it is better than what we have had before.
Could do with some black and white if they want to make it more 'Gwent'.
Certainly better than the dildo and disc*nt tyres!

I like the new collection, Macron surprised me for good. When I heard that Scotland changed Canterbury by Macron I found a mistake, but now I see the new collection seems a wise move. A new brand in the big leagues of rugby, with a very nice traditional clothing.

Violet is back, just like old times. Well done, Macron!

Really like Scotlands design...

Will miss the White one they had this year. But Oldschool is the new way.

I am really quite liking that new Scotland kit. I was a bit worried when I heard that the SRU had changed from Canterbury to Macron as I had liked the more recent kits that Canterbury were bringing out. I'm liking the more tranditional and plain look with this kit though. I imagine I'll be shelling out for this one.

It happened just like you. How much will it cost the new shirt? It may be cheaper than the last, to be under-recognized brand

I might bit up my Scottish roots and get a shirt, I love old fashioned collared rugby shirts.
