Legends patch for Rugby 06/Rugby 98

Hi all.



This thread is for the legends patch i intend on making. I need help with most teams 30-man squad selections for the best authenticity. Please use players from 1991-2007 World Cups, but players from pre 1987 must be IRB Hall of Famers.. i.e JPR Williams for Wales etc

Please list names as: A.Player and also the position of the utility back. This can be an extra player in any backs category if you wish.

did you search in the rugby hall of fame to complete your team ? we use players from the 1987-2007 wc + the player from the hall of fame

Frik Du Preez at lock for South africa is an absolute must. Him and Colin Meads had ***annic clashes. Also he was voted SA sportsman of the century. He played in 60's and 70's.

It's not dead, it will take a few weeks to compile the squad lists.

I have been very busy with real life, but have started the roster.

I ideally in a rugby game would like to see the same thoughts as along fifa 98 when it was released. This game was a monster.. mainly because it had so many options and would still be playable now.

I so wish an EA rugby had these options..

- Sevens mode (like the excellent 5-a-side mode on fifa 98)
- Full RWC qualifying mode with all international teams (as in fifa 98)

It'd take forever to patch, but i notice for some reason on some rugby clothing sites you can buy kits like Malta, Kazakhstan and Israel.. why would you buy them?

Although on R06, you could still win the RWC with Malta lol

Anyway, I would support replacing Wyatt with Alun Wyn Jones, but only cos I can't remember Wyatt doing anything noteworthy at a World Cup. As for Gareth Edwards and Graham Price, we should only include players from before 1987 as a last resort when we can't fill up a team with players who played between 1987 and 2007.

what i want most is a tournament editor. i made all star teams (by replacing players in the representativ teams) but i cna't use them in a tournament ...



although a 7 player mode could be fun

Robin McBryde, but as far as im concerned AWJ is 4 times the player Wyatt was and had an amazing RWC!
