Pretty poor really from the RFU! Yes its poor on their behalf, they know its a Lions Tour year and you want the complete squad there bonded and ready but with this its going to be an absolute shambles with some players not there, where are the people with brains?
And its going to bring up the argument does the Lions Tour have a place in modern rugby!
The anwser is yes but many will now argue with the somewhat tight scheduling it is near impossible for this! Why does the RFU not take the common sesne idea which has been suggested to them and fill up games during the christmas period! It sounded reasonable idea but obviously they believe its not in the best intrest, which is again ... poor!
The Lions Tour is argued amgonst the players that to be a great player in the British Isle you need to tour with the Lions and to be honest I find it very hard to understand the decision the RFU has taken with the fixtures!
Yes im having a go at the RFU here but its silly really to have the Lions and the Finals on the same date!
