Ulster have a wee but about them again. Nice to see.

Not the best example here though. Munster are in free fall since Baff.

Thought Munster improved when they changed the halfback pairing, but it was too little far too late.
Overall it was poor fare in bad conditions.

Zak Ward looks like the left wing we need but apart from that not much to take away from the game, yeah.

I think Ulster have to be happy, this season was never about contending for them after last year.

Munster have shown good stuff under MacMillan but seem to have totally got ahead of themselves.

I think both need a bit of knockout rugby this season and setup for a strong year next year.

Irish rugby as a whole is in a lull, it happens. Media and outspoken fans cause it to be some sort of outrage but it only takes a good 6 months for things to be rosy again. Whether that comes on time for 2027 is the pressing issue, a lot would have to go right at an individual player level for that I think.

Oh aye, no complaints on the progress. Been a few shocking years and things have been at a low ebb.

But do feel its progress with a disclaimer - the ceiling of that team is likely (quite far) below winning silverware.

Quality of opposition have to be considered but not having Henshaw at 12 is looking like a serious improvement in attack.

Two 11s showing that we have options outside Lowe in the last couple days here. The way the game is being played currently is working against Lowe and his form has dropped big on top of that. Ward and then Kenny need to be looked at and I wouldn't be against dropping Ward in in February.

I attended the Ospreys-Cardiff match. Good result for the Ospreys, but it was really disappointing how they let Cardiff score three tries in the final 15-20 minutes.
