Lions - Six Nations 2025 Auditions

Telegraph- 'Senior coaching source expecting Henry Pollock to be named in the Lions squad, and says he would not be surprised if Owen Farrell was also included, given his three-tour experience, leadership and ability to play 12.'

Telegraph - 'Lips have been extremely tight on the make-up of the squad, but one snippet I have heard is that Glasgow Warriors were reassured that they did not have to rush back Sione Tuipulotu and Huw Jones from injury for those centres to be in the running. That sounds sensible to me, even if Tuipulotu has played a single game – an Investec Champions Cup win over Racing 92 – in 2025 thus far.'

The speculation is because it's 40 it might help those coming trying to come back from injury like Caelan Dorris and those with Top 14 commitments like Blair Kinghorn, Jack Willis and Ben White.

I don't believe it for a second but have never wanted anything more.
I am the same here. It will destroy poor Sam if he has a bad game but will be hilarious to see the meltdown. Neither are the best 10 in their nations in many eyes.

Realistically I can see Farrell Jr being 3rd 10 who will be off bench covering 12 too.

Farrell jnr just won't **** off will he.

Not ever good enough to hold down the England 10 shirt and not good enough for a lions tour either.

I like it. It's a throw back to youth County selection in the 90's. It's based on -

Who your parents are -
What club you are -
What car your parents drive -
Which school you went to as well. I had a mate who played county hooker right up until under 16s which was the point at which county selection included the city public school and him and about half the team were dropped overnight

Telegraph - 'Allied to the intel from my colleague, Gavin, at 9.51am, a separate senior coaching source with Lions experience has told me this morning that they would be "staggered" were Owen Farrell not included among his father's crop of around 40 players to be named later today.

What that would mean for the other fly-half candidates remains to be seen – but it is surely a nervous wait for Finn Russell.'

Clearly hinting Russell might be out.

Just hours until we get the scripted justification for Owen's inclusion . Could probably play bingo with the different options

Covers 12
Test match animal
Brings leadership
Three Lions tours
Goal kicking
Solid in D
Great in the dressing room
Etc.

Threatened to tell mum about Dad's "friendly" manner with Maureen from pay roll.

Times say a Welsh source thinks Jac Morgan and probably Tomos Williams are in but maybe no other Welsh players,

Telegraph - 'With no evidence whatsoever, here is an unverified conspiracy theory that is doing the rounds in Ireland. Apparently the reason why All Black superstar Jordie Barrett was a replacement for Leinster's Champions Cup defeat to Northampton was because Andy Farrell wanted to see Robbie Henshaw get a start at inside centre. To repeat, there is no evidence for this assertion, but if Henshaw does receive a call-up it will certainly be an interesting development.'

Somehow that feels true
