Gary Brand is a South African who kicked a miracle drop goal from 77m out to give the Springboks a 7 - 0 win against England in 1932... and that kick was made with one of those heavy leather balls of that time
 
I don't mean to be rude, but so what? You can't just tell us a fact and not start off a conversation about it.
 
If you had a video or pic with this post it would have been exciting but just the fact u saying it doesn't really interest me. Sorry
 
An Irish Player, John Murphy Kicked a 82m Dropgoal in 1901 with a watermelon, which, weren't readily available at the time. Unfortunately, YouTube was only in its infancy at this stage, so i have no proof.

It was in the South African November 2006 edition of the Sports Illustrated on their timeline of The Springboks vs England
