Perpignan centre Maxime Mermoz is in doubt for the start of France's Six Nations campaign after suffering a shoulder injury in his team's 29-9 loss to Brive in the Top 14 on Sunday.
The five-times capped Mermoz was taken to hospital for tests after the game but it is feared that he could be forced to sit out France's February 7 Six Nations opener against Scotland.
