I sometimes have to go against forwards who would easily bulldoze me. Being a back, this is a complete mismatch and such a pain physically and mentally. So how do you tackle the big man? What technique should I apply?
(Playing for school U18 btw so don't expect a lot) I have a friendly against a rival school this Wednesday so it would help a lot to know how.

Chop tackle. Instead of going for the traditional "cheek to cheek" hit them as low as possible know one can run with their ankles together, if you go a bit high (which is higher then the knee with a chop tackle) slide down to the ankles.

Skip to 1:30 for the chop tackles.

It requires a lot of bravery and is difficult enough to master, particulary if you're a heavier or taller guy. It's also pretty easy to get stepped with but for big guys running straight at you it's the best sort of tackle.

^ ah cool, was looking for that terminology....and what fantastic enthusiasm from the uploader, a true treat the video.
