That comment was made in response to a suggestion that the physical controls for kicking conversions should become easier, the more in front of the sticks you are.


If we did that, then players would get a double whammy of making it easier when scoring in front, or making it much harder scoring out wide.


The system we have in place now has consistent controls per kicker, no matter where you kick from.  However, if you are kicking from right in front you can afford to be less accurate because the margin for error is wider.  When shooting from out wide, its naturally harder because of the distance, and the angle on the uprights.


That is the way it should be.


The only increased depth we should consider adding to this in the future is the ability to choose your distance from the goal line.  Currently it is done automatically. Oh, and having the ability to curve the ball.
