London Wasps have today suspended Andy Powell and Tim Payne with immediate effect pending an internal investigation.

The club is not in a position to disclose any further details at this stage and will not comment again until the internal investigation has concluded.

However it is understood that Powell and Payne were involved in an altercation with some football supporters at a pub last night while watching a football match between Queen's Park Rangers and Derby County, during which Powell suffered head injuries.

This reminds me of something that happened when I was in Leicester in uni. Flatmate of mine stepped in to help a guy that was being kicked on the ground by 5 or 6 guys, he was 6'3" ex amateur boxer, obviously they all started on him instead. Took one guy out quite quickly, ben then the rest just started grabbing his hair (he had a huge afro) and pulled him to the ground to kick the **** into him. Bloody scrum. He said that as soon as they started fighting dirty, he just started upper cutting them all in their balls. He took a bit of a beating, but had 3 or 4 on the ground before the other 2 or 3 ran off. I wasn't there, but he returned in a bit of a state.
