I've also been stuck on 1024*768 as my max, but I think this can probably be increased if you change the settings in your ATI (or Nvidia) control panel.

Had same problem with PES4, there is a setting in there somewhere for the max display res. I think that the game will only display up to what it's set at, but guess that it's simply a matter of increasing this to allow you to increase the res in the game options up to a higher "maximum".

I'll try this when I get home tongiht. I think 1024*768 is a bit lame aswell, the game must be able to display higher than that. I'll let you know if it works. If it does I'll be landed, you could set the res to whatever your video card will support - with an X800 or GeForce 680o this could be as much as 1600 by 1200 or even more.

I increased my settings to 1600*1200 on PES4 - no frame rate problems and the player models, etc look wicked.

I stuck up anti liasing to *8 on Rugby, no probs apart from the odd glitch.
