If Matfield, Bekker, JDV, BJ Botha or Frans Steyn gets injured that's very bad for the Boks. For most countries its not a big deal, but I'd expect a South African to understand why injuries are such a problem. When a first-choice Bok player gets injured, does the second choice player get chosen? On the odd occasion, yes. But most of the time some quota player just gets tossed into the team. For instance, if one of our centres were to get injured, who would take his place? Rightfully it should be Wynand Olivier. But in South Africa, it would be Adi Jacobs. Just look at this team. Odwa Ndungane is on the wing. Can you honestly tell me that he's even in our top 10 wings in the country? He's a joke. I used to play club rugby with him. He was in Colegians third team as fullback. Everytime we played against them we just hoisted up and unders because he didn't know how to catch and we would get a ton of tries this way. Next thing we know, he's playing for the Sharks then the Springboks! Come on! But back to my original topic, you say that the tri-nations matter and the E-O-Y-T doesn't. It should be the opposite way round. This is because France and Ireland are currently more of a challenge then Australia or New Zealand. Aussie rugby is in a rebuilding stage with tons of youngsters, and the Kiwi's seem to be going through quite a slump. However, France gave us a convincing beating last time and we played like retards against Ireland. We should really look to end 2010 well so we start 2011 on a high.
