Players who could participate in their 4th(or 5th?) RWC in 2015.

I think just 9 months out from the RWC there is a much clearer idea of how many players may be making their 4th or 5th tournament. Apart from Italy who will likely take barring injury 5 or 6 returnees from 2003, most will have none or just a couple. Mauro Bergamasco will become only the second player after Brian Lima to play in 5 tournaments if he makes it, Tonita would have made 5 tournaments for Romania as well but didn't play in 1999.

Good list, Duck. While I do expect both Burger and Matfield to tour I expect Burger to play only a fringe role behind a whole raft of SA loosies who are ahead of him in the pecking order at this stage. Even for the Stormers he'll be battling for game with Vermeulen, Carr and Kolisi after coming back from Japan. Even at 37/38 I think Meyer is too fond of Matfield to not have him play. I expect PS du Toit to take over only post 2015 what with him having missed the entire 2014 through injury and Meyer is not the type to be 'taking chances' at a RWC. TBF to Matfield he looks to be in good shape even if not at his all time best.

Amazing that if he'd been more committed early on this could have been D'arcy's 5th WC. He's on the fringes now so it's touch and go but PO'C will definitey go and has said he's retiring after.
