PREM 25/26 - Round 4

Glos
Saints
Tigers
Sharks
Chiefs

Put a tenner on that ladies and gents
After Quins beating Sarries and us losing last week i havnt got high hopes. We should be competitive still. Long way to go still for Chiefs but it's looking better.

Well Quins rarely put together two good performances in a row … However, my view is that the performances for 50mins in rounds 1 and 2 were good. The problem was a massive drop off when our sub standard bench was badly exposed. Now we have our top players available, I feel like we might actually do OK.

My predictions:

Bristol
Saints
Bath
Saracens
Quins

Sarries complete inability to deal with the high ball does give me some hope for this weekend,
But our complete lack of consistency, injuries in the backrow, plastic pitch (which we're always dreadful on) and it being Itoje's return and 200th game does fill me with dread, haha
I think we've only beaten them once at their new gaff, as well

A Bristol win looks like a stretch given their injuries + away from home. I read elsewhere they have 12 injured backs and Jordan is serving his ban.

Bristol Bears: 15. Benjamin Elizalde (19 apps), 14. Max Pepper (4 apps), 13. Matías Moroni (debut), 12. Benhard Janse van Rensburg (54 apps), 11. Kalaveti Ravouvou (35 apps), 10. Steven Luatua (155 apps), 7. Fitz Harding (c) (101 apps), 8. Viliame Mata (21 apps).

Maybe, but Gloucester are also missing some key players and that bench looks pretty callow.

Jordan banned for 3 games, 2 backs on the bench including Toby Fricker, who has rejoined the club as injury cover, scrum half starting on the wing. Its genuinely getting to the stage that not being able to field a side isn't beyond the realms of reality

Winners:
Saints (easily)
Bristol - Gloucester lack genuine quality and game-changers - and the bench is weak. Even with the injuries I think Bristol do the job.
Bath - Leicester are mediocre and don’t have the attacking game to trouble Bath. Away win by 10+
Saracens - I’d love to say Sharks, but Sarries will come back hard after last week.
Exeter - A real 50/50 but Quins will probably revert back to their usual mediocrity against anyone other than Saracens.

Considering how strong Gloucesters support is, it’s surprising we don’t have more Gloucester fans on here posting.

I know a lot of them can’t read or write seeing as they are from Gloucester but there must a few educated ones kicking about.

Sale Shakes:
15. Tom O'Flaherty 14. Tom Roebuck, 13. Rob du Preez, 12. Marius Louw, 11. Arron Reed, 10. George Ford, 9. Gus Warr; 1. Bevan Rodd, 2. Luke Cowan-Dickie, 3. Asher Opoku-Fordjour, 4. Ben Bamber, 5. Hyron Andrews, 6. Ernst van Rhyn ©, 7. Tristan Woodman, 8. Sam Dugdale.

Replacements:
16. Nathan Jibulu, 17. Simon McIntyre, 18. James Harper, 19. Tom Burrow, 20. Ethan Caine, 21. Raffi Quirke, 22. Rekeiti Ma'asi-White, 23. Luke James

Good to see RMW and Luke James back, but not particularly confident about this
