For all the talk about our form I actually think we're playing better than we were in the Pro14 last year. We haven't had anything like the Connacht and Treviso games from that season. Obviously results aren't great but they don't need to be. You can talk about individual form but players like Conan, Deegan, Mick Kearney (before his injury), Ed Byrne, Gibson-Park, Dave Kearney, Toner and Joe Tomane are playing as well as they ever have in blue. Ryan, Ringrose, Healy etc are playing well as well. Sexton actually wasn't that bad against Munster, I genuinely think we'd have won that game if he'd stayed on. Munster's attack in that game was pathetic. Against 13/14 men for most of it and one clean break in the whole thing. Because everyone gets on the end of terrible refereeing so it evens out. Don't see how it damages the league at all, it's hardly anyone else's problem if the Welsh can't get their s*** together. If the country that came 6th in the Six Nations has more teams in the playoffs than the Grand Slam winners, then it's fairly obvious the problem lies with the underperforming country and not the league. It's hardly narrow self-interest to want Irish teams to do well, might as well say that it's self-interested for me to want Ireland to win the World Cup. It's fairly obvious that yesterday had more positives then negatives for Leinster •Tomane had another excellent game and seems to be coming good, he's been much better since his injury. •Caelan Doris and Jack Dunne both looked at home when surrounded by international players. •Toner and Henshaw both came back from injury and looked decent. •Both Kearneys played well, Rob got his first tries in ages too. •Max Deegan was brilliant (again) off the bench. •Will Connors came back from a serious long-term injury. All of which is far more important than a vaguely irritating loss to a first choice Glasgow who were really up for it and wanted it far more. The only real negatives are Furlong's injury (although he looked alright), and that SOB was again pretty ineffective. In summary, I don't care if Welsh teams are s*** and while Leinster obviously aren't as good as last year it's not nearly as gloomy as some people would like to make out.
