PWR 25/26 - Round 1

I’m really excited for this season, it should be the closest one yet. I think there are 8 teams that have a genuine chance of making the playoffs.

An entertaining first match, nicely back and forth. Kabeya had a great game, particularly the first half.

Today’s games were a bit more one sided, though Tigers came back into it better than I thought they would. Amy Cockayne looked very good in the first half.

Excellent match, really enjoyed my day out.
Felt like a really good crowd as well - anyone get the figure?

Ball handling is going to need some attention in training, hopefully just first-match issues. Both teams will get better as the season progresses.

I think they said over 5k on TNT. That was definitely the match of the weekend, though Sarries fans may disagree. Stratford deservedly potm but Muir must have been very close. It's been interesting over the weekend to see the differences between various World Cup winners - some have brought their RWC form straight into the PWR, others haven't looked quite ready to be back into club rugby yet.

Edited to remember that she’s not called Aldcroft any more.

Sale's game was a sellout, which is good to see (though with the caveat that they dropped tickets to £1 in the final couple of days before) - their social media is so much stronger than the men's side, really are putting the effort in

All 4 matches streamed live (across 3 different platforms, but only one pay); and now all 4 available on YouTube

Attendances up 183% on the same matches last year - which is quite the RWC boost!
This is great to see, hopefully it keeps growing from here.
