PWR 25/26 - Round 2

I think the draw has been kind to Bristol - a bye in week one and the easiest game in week two allows quite a bit more time to reintegrate the internationals.

Disappointing crowd compared to last week, but international clashes will always do that.

Also - is the ref match on the stadium speakers? It sounds louder and more echoey than usual.
Seems like an excellent call if so (but probably a lot of pearl clutching about children hearing bad language)

I generally don't mind SHs milking a penalty from the offside defender in the way, but not like that.
GH5 was on the floor in foetal position to be as out of the way as possible, so Ex9 drops the ball on her back and kicks her up the arse - winning the penalty.

If she's hunched but too tall, then pass onto her back.
If she's too close, then leapfrog her and make a meal of it (whilst getting the ball away), but that seemed like just an opportunity to kick someone

Just caught up on everything. I fully agree re the Robinson kick, I guess the ref didn’t see the detail of what happened and without a TMO there’s nothing that can be done, but it seemed like the penalty should have been reversed at the very least.
From the other matches I was very impressed with the way Bristol fought to keep the 0 - it was always going to be a one-sided game but that’s the kind of situation that so often leads to teams switching off and conceding unnecessary tries at the end.
Sarries have well and truly woken up since last week but I was surprised by Quins - I thought they could be title contenders this season but they’re not looking it so far, though obviously it’s still very early days.
