Hey everyone,

I was looking into the various formats for playing extra time in different leagues and tournaments.
Specifically I was wondering about Aviva, 6 Nations, Tri-Nations, Lion's Tour games, Super 15, and Top 14.

Do they all just follow the standard of knock-out games being 2-10min extra time periods followed by a Place-Kick competition if necessary after considering trys scored etc.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Cheers! :p

Well, the 6 Nations and Trinations don't have knock-out matches

I''m pretty sure the rest follow the normal rules

However, I also think that it is a drop goal shootout, as opposed to place kicking

im pretty sure it place kicking it's DG in rugby 08 though.

Well the Blues and Leicester Tigers semi-final in the Heineken Cup went to extra time then kicks a few years back, and it was place kicks if I remember rightly because Martyn Williams missed the final kick for the Blues then Leicester's Number 8 Jordan Crane got the kick to win it.
