Help please. Im struggling to understand 'hands in the ruck' and 'off feet'

the first defending player always seems to grab the ball to try and regain possession. is this not hands in the ruck?

also off feet? all the attacking players seem to go off feet when driving the defending players back?

really struggling with this part of the game lads? help?

The tacklers can attempt to steal the ball at that point because the ruck hasn't been formed yet, once the ruck as been formed then it would be an offense.

Hands in the ruck is what Matty says.
For off-feet, is actually just very loosely refereed. They shouldn't go off feet.
