Hi all,
New to the forum here so hello!
I coach junior rugby at u10's level. We have just made it through our first year of rucking and it has been extremely difficult. We cannot seem to make it click. We have a great bunch who are not afraid of contact at all and tackle like monsters but we just cannot seem to get rucks to work properly.
We still have players with hands in the ruck and players looking at the ball leading to us getting turned over regularly.
Any ideas for drills/training sessions we can do? We've had some ideas like just playing with two 9's but they just get caught up in the game and it all goes to hell. Really, really struggled with this this season.
Thanks!
