Yer when me and my dad went and asked about the trials the guy explained that there's 3 teams plus a freshers team for 1st years only to get warmed to the rugby and to give them a chance to get into it. Hmmm and the "special" treatment for certain people isn't new within the rugby scene. I'm from north east England and I play within Durham county we sent 5 lads to trails (minus me because of a falling out with the coach over me apparently being to small) and only one got in because his brother plays for London Irish the rest of thelads attended normal schools and had nowt going in the family. But anyway the guy said then after the first year it's split into the usual 3 teams depending upon your ability. Oh and i also see what u mean by the expensive cost of the clothing as I got a handout with all the stuff on. My mam was also saying ill be spending a fortune on the washing machines to wash my rugby gear on top of my normal clothes and it's like £2.50 for a wash ;O
