Rugby breakaway league coming. (R360)

It’s about time this absolute turd of a thing got flushed down the toilet - I’m referring to both the breakaway league itself and this thread.

It might sell it to Aussie's through more than their current Union players.
You are an idiot if you think that. Why would any NRL fan turn away from the NRL ever?

They don’t like union because it’s union, not because the competition it’s flashy enough with stupid made up teams and what not.

The lack of common sense is mind boggling with this whole thing. It’s got less chance of working than Australia have of winning the lions series after losing two games.

I hope World Rugby are not just hoping the threat of no international rugby will be the main line of stopping players from England, NZ, Ireland etc from joining because I fear that might be naive.

@TRF_Olyy considering this poster only posts in this thread (I checked) can we ban them. They arnt a proper poster as they are financially invested to the marketing or something to do with this BS.

So due to their lies and manipulation, bring the ban!!!

Times say players on the Liona Tour have agreed to join R360. Doesn't name who (Could be older ones like Aki or those who would still be in contention for their national teams for several years to come)

I can only speak for myself, but as a rugby fan I have absolutely no interest in R360 and have no intention of watching it.

I note that Red Bull are investing in Newcastle, I don't think they would be doing that if they felt that R360 was a threat.

Also although the money being offered is big money, it is not massively more than players can earn in France and may be less than what players can earn in Japan.

If anything it looks like competition for the seven series.

I just don't see the market for it.

Still don't see how it will make money. If you have 360 players, I accept not all will be earning £1,000.000, but if the average wage is £500,000 then that is £180,000,000 per year plus other costs.

If there are 8 teams then there will will be 56 games, that means that in order to cover your costs you need to make over £3,000,000 per game. That doesn't include travel and other costs.

That is a lot of tickets they need to sell or a lot of TV revenue. Only way I can see if working is a vanity/sportswashing project by people happy to loose vast sums of money.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I see it.

Also the players will be constantly on the road given the around the world nature. Not good for family men and women.

I can't see it being more attractive than Japan or France.

Again maybe I'm wrong, but even if this does set up I don't see it lasting long.
